You don't have to travel to NYC to get a slice! You can just stay put in Portland and come on down here on the NS streetcar line and grab a slice! As someone who lived in NY for a few years, this feels like I am back in Brooklyn! This is true NY pizza on the comfort of the west coast! Pizza was ready SUPER fast, or should I say, a NY minute! VERY nice people working here. They have indoor and outdoor seating and when you're inside? The Ambiance inside makes you feel like you're in a NY pizza joint, only... You are in Portland! Here's to another 40+ years!

I was so excited to try this spot that was so close to our Airbnb in the Alphabet District. The slices did not disappoint! Sure, prices for everything have skyrocketed, but the food was worth it. The crust was thin and just perfectly crispy and chewy, if that makes any sense. The decor and interior was perfectly New York pizza-style, I would've forgotten I was in Portland and thought we were transported to the East Village or something.

Great place to get a slice when in Nob Hill. The pizza was good, interesting decor, and efficient staff.

It's a small little place located on the streets of nw 23rd. We took a little walk and wanted to try this place, looked busy. Pizza was good, there weren't exactly a ton of pizza places and it's a good size for the price you pay for the slice

I feel like when people say a place has character, this is exactly what they are talking about. Its a small joint, with a cramped walkway and walls absolutely plastered with history. There is bar style seating against the wall, a booth, and a couple of tables. I didnt see outdoor seating, but it did rain today so it may just not have been put out. The staff here are casual and friendly, and regulars pop by for conversation and a slice with a frequency that surprised me. Has a real homey, down to earth, neighborhood feel to it. Definitely not glamorous by any means, but rather salt of the earth. My favorite thing about this place was that they sell pizza by the slice, and the slices are gargantuan. I can put away pizza like nobody's business, and I got two slices and felt that my eyes had been bigger than my stomach. The quality of the pizza was ok. Much like the establishment itself it was nothing fancy, but it was filling and better than other pizza I've tried in the past. I also felt that the pricing was reasonable. Overall, I would come back just for the atmosphere and the friendly banter.
